Post-graduate studies \'Management of innovative projects\'

Within the framework of The Pomeranian Platform of the Academic-Industrial Innovative Cooperation (INNOPOMERANIA) project, financed by the ministerial programme “Innovation creator – support for innovative, academic entrepreneurship” we plan intensive information - promotion activities related to conducting of educational activities with respect to commercialization of knowledge, technology and entrepreneurship transfer among students and faculty staff. The purpose of these activities is to develop the education system supporting the efficient commercialization of innovation – offering new learning content and new development directions, both for scientific staff and graduates from Tri City universities.

Innovative idea is the implementation of the study program in both ways, complementing the academic approach to the subject with the knowledge of experts - practitioners. All exercises and laboratory work will be carried out in mixed teams (scientists and entrepreneurs). Most of the practical classes will involve 2 representatives of university academic staff and invited experts-practitioners, which will allow combining the theoretical knowledge with practice. The program will last 2 semesters, will be implemented in sessions and will include 220 hours of teaching. Classes are held in sessions in two ways: 1. in the form of meetings approximately every two weeks on Fridays and Saturdays, and 2. in the form of e-learning.

Candidate profile

The studies are addressed to: graduates of the higher education being in charge in various business and scientific activities and wishing to gain broader knowledge of management of innovative projects, in order to allow:

• effective search and receiving of financial support for innovative projects,

• preparation of a business plan for innovative projects and gaining the skills to examine and assess the profitability of the projects carried out.

Unique preparation of the study program allows to direct it to both academics and R&D institutions involved in research, as well as those working in the commercial sector, with particular reference to those of the SME sector.

The minimal group size required to launch the studies is 30 people.

Graduate Profile

A graduate will acquire knowledge related to the wider innovation management at the various stages of the life cycle of innovation. This knowledge will be further strengthened with the acquisition of practical skills by students, and implementation of innovative solutions (regarding: product, process, service) from the initiation phase of the project, through the planning and implementation, until the closure of the innovation project. Such a configuration of knowledge and practical skills will enable graduates to take further actions independently on: the effective commercialization of research results (representatives of the science sector) and providing the support at every stage of the implementation of innovative solutions from the "idea" to a marketable, viable product, process or service (representatives of the business sector).
